Two neglected buildings in Antwerp North have been merged into one residential complex, reducing the number of units from seven to five. The original living conditions were poor, but now the homes have been upgraded to meet the living quality according to current standards. Authentic elements, such as the staircase and the raw brick walls, have been preserved to maintain the building’s character. A fresh green color, inspired by historic color accents, is used for the concrete elements, the window frames and cornice. Together with the white facade, this results in a new fresh appearance.
