During the 2006 renovation of the Atomium and reconstruction of Atomiumsquare the 'galette', housing the shop and entrance, underwent refurbishment, with numerous benches added to the square.

In 2012, the Atomium was looking for a solution to conceal ventilation and cellar air intakes in the galette's foundation. Our innovative bench, designed to follow the galette's curve, successfully integrates technical requirements, maintaining a cohesive material and design language. This design not only addresses functional needs but also enhances the overall usability of the square, allowing people to now enjoy seating 'under' the Atomium.
